CYLINDER HEADS
WITH EXCHANGEABLE COMBUSTION CHAMBERS
VHM produces exchangeable cylinder heads for
two-stroke engines in motocross and road
racing. With the help of vast experience in
two-stroke tuning, VHM develops products of
the highest quality.
During intensive testing, both on the
racetrack and on the test bench, the VHM
head showed better temperature development
in the cylinder head, ultimately resulting
in a lower overall engine temperature. The
explanation of this phenomenon lies in the
use of a special aluminum alloy which has
very good heat transference. Another
advantage of the material is its resistance
to detonation.
The combustion chamber is very easy to
change, simply unbolt the cylinder head, the
combustion chamber slips out; you slip
another in and reassemble. This makes it
very easy to adjust the combustion ratio to
different circuits and fuels that are used.
While many standard inserts are available,
VHM will produce inserts of your special
design or you can purchase blank inserts and
cut them yourself. Combustion chambers are
available for both leaded and unleaded fuel.
A “HEADSET”
consists of a cylinder head, combustion
chamber (insert) and the necessary
O-seals.
